Preschool Director

Preschool is in session Monday through Thursday, from September through May. Regular classroom hours are 9:35 am to 12:35 pm. The extended day classroom hours are 9:35 am to 1:35 pm. We offer programs for 2's, 3's, and 4's.  ​​The curriculum in our 4 year old class includes kindergarten readiness skills.

ASK ABOUT OUR TODDLER PRESCHOOL PROGRAM BEGINNING AT AGE 2

The 2 year old program is for children who will be two years old by the first day of school in September.  Class will have approximately 6 to 10 children with a teacher and a teacher assistant. Children can attend two or three days per week-Tuesday through Thursday.  Children do not have to be toilet trained to enter this class.

There are several options to choose from in our two year old program including:

*Two day program that meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:35 until 12:35.

*Two day extended day program that meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:35-1:35

*Three day program that meets on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:35 until 12:35

*Three day extended day program that meets on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:35-1:35

 

Our class will provide children with a loving and nurturing environment supported by a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Some of the themes in the curriculum include new friends, shapes, colors, counting, holidays, seasons, our five senses, animals, pets, and our special family. There is also a focus on social skills including sharing, taking turns and verbalizing needs and wants.

 

Daily activities include several “circle times,” music and movement, story time, “explorer centers,” free play, outside play and many opportunities to make crafts and paint.

The 3 year old program is for children who will turn 3 years old by the end of September for the upcoming school year.  Children must be toilet trained to enroll in the 3's classroom 

 

There are several options to choose from in our three year old program including:
*Three day program that meets on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:35 until     12:35.
*Three day extended day program that meets on Tuesday, Wednesday and                     Thursday from 9:35 until 1:35.

*Four day program that meets on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from         9:35 until 12:35.
*Four day extended day program that meets Monday through Thursday from 9:35           until 1:35.

 

The 3 year old program provides children with a loving and nurturing environment supported by a developmentally appropriate curriculum.  Some of the themes in the curriculum include getting to know you, all about me, seasons, holidays, animals and their habitats, ocean life, weather, our beautiful earth, and much more.  There is also a focus on colors, shapes, counting, rhyming, and an introduction to the alphabet.  Cooperative play, following basic rules and simple direction, and developing self-control are emphasized.

 

Daily activities include “circle time,” music and movement, story time, centers, free play, outside time, and art activities.

The 4 year old program is for children who will turn four years old by the end of September for the upcoming school year.

 

There are several options to choose from in our four year old program including:
*Three day program that meets on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:35 until 12:35.
*Four day program that meets Monday through Thursday from 9:35 until 12:35.
*Four day extended day program that meets Monday through Thursday from 9:35 until 1:35. 

 

 *The curriculum in all of our four year old and five year old classes include kindergarten readiness skills.*

 

The 4 year old program provides children with a loving and nurturing environment supported by a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Some of the themes in the curriculum include being a good friend, school rules and routines, fire safety, pumpkins and how they grow, living and nonliving things, hibernation, weather, community helpers, animals and their habitat, ocean life, lifecycle of a butterfly, plants, earth day, fairy tales and much more. There is also a focus on shapes, counting, rhyming, alphabet recognition, math concepts and pre-reading activities. Cooperative play, role playing, following basic rules and multi step directions, and developing self help skills is emphasized.

 

Daily activities include “circle time”, music and movement, story time, centers, free play, outside time and art activities.
